Here It Is!......

Take a peek at the workshop project we will be doing in May and tell me it isn't adorable? This is one of the new paper packs from CTMH new Summer Catalog called "Animal Cookies" that is going live on May 1. These papers are perfect for kids and Summertime fun, zoo pics, baby pics etc. They are fresh and funky. Here are a couple closeups.
The number 2 is also a sneak peek at one of the new products coming May 1. These are die-cut numbers made from foam that coordinate with the Animal Cookies Paper Pack.

This last shot is a closeup of one of the new stamp sets that we will be using for the workshop.

I hope you can join us for this fun workshop! Call me to reserve your spot and for details. If you cannot attend, or are not local you can still purchase this kit.
I will be busy today doing more cleaning. I have finished shampooing all the carpets and cleaning the upholestry downstairs, so today I am moving to the upstairs to clean and rearrange things. Here is an interesting tid-bit of news for you, Megan does not like her bedroom being upstairs in my former scrapbook room, so guess what?? We are now going to be moving her room BACK downstairs! AAack!!
Have a great day,

Little Miss

I do not have any new artwork to share today so I am sharing this pic of Kadence. I took this when we were heading out to the car for Church. In her purse, she carries an empty lip gloss jar (her makeup) and her offering for Jesus. To cute!
Megan and I decided to switch rooms over the weekend. I traded her my scrap room for her bedroom and vice-versa. Since each room is on a different floor, you guessed it, steps! Oh my aching back! I will post pics of the new space when I get it all nice.
Happy Day!

A Child Is A Gift

A couple of months ago while wondering around my LSS, I saw a display of this incredible layout. I asked about it and Melissa, the owner said it was from a class they did last August, and that they still had all the papers cut for one more if I was interested in buying it. I sure was!! I knew these pictures of Kadence and Brittany at the Wool Festival last year would be great on them. Fast forward to later in that same week, when I dump out all of my pieces and discover that GASP! The entire right side is missing! OH MY! So call Melissa, make a trip back to store and wait while she patiently cuts out the entire right side for me because I want the layout so bad! Fast forward again to yesterday, when I finally had time to set down and piece it all together! I love how it came out and could not wait to share it with everyone. So, without further ado:

Here is a close up of some of the details on the left side. There is so much dimension and little details thru out the entire layout! (Click to see any pic larger)

Finally, a close up of some of the details on the right side:

Hope you enjoy the eye candy and that your day is wonderful.

Tickled Pink Layout

I finished this layout yesterday and I absolutely love it. The "Tickled Pink" Kit has so much fun stuff with it, including a stamp set, that you will love creating with it. There are enough materials to create another double page 12 X 12 layout and still have left overs!

Please click the pic to really see it.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Kadence Finds A Friend

On Friday, Megan, Kadence, and I spent about 3 hours playing in the park. We had a great time running, playing, and especially sliding! While we were there, a man came with these adorable puppies. Most people know that I am NOT a dog loving girl, but
if I could have, one of these babys would have came home with me! They were just adorable! We swooned over them for awhile and even offered to take one off the mans hands if he wanted (it didn't work) but when Kadence started telling Megan that this puppy was hers, I knew it was probably time to move on!

Oh well, I am sure Bianca and Jacqueline would not have understood anyway!

New Artwork

Finally had a bit of time yesterday afternoon to create some artwork for me. This paper pack is from a CTMH promo a couple years ago I think called "The Promise of Spring" I have had the layout done, but just laying in a drawer because I could never find the perfect pictures for it. I have now! I still need to journal but just wanted to share. The title, which goes in the left (green) side will say "10 things I love about you" and then you write the 10 things on each of the little white spaces. No doubt a couple of mine will be "I love how you say we're best friends together" and "I love how you say your Bible verses" (click on the pic to see it full size)

Have a wonderful Sunday,

Photo Session

We had a scheduled photo session for Kadence yesterday and can I just say Kadence was NOT on her best behavior! To her credit, she had been up since early and had a very stressful appointment with the doctor, and I know she was tired, BUT wow! I was not prepared for her mood! I am not kidding when I tell you that it took Richard, Brittany, Sabrina (the photograher) and myself to amuse her constantly and beg her to get the awesome shots that she did.

Here are a couple more that we did when we changed her from her Easter dress to this adorable little pink dress that Denise got for her.

Isn't this adorable?

Ok, So I know what you are thinking... You are looking at these pics and going Aww, she is just fibbing on poor Kadence! She was the perfect little angel for the photographer! Oh? Please check out a couple of the "outtakes" below!

I believe this is the one where she was saying "I hate my picture taken" or something to that effect!

Of course, I have tons more, but must get on with the day. If you are local, and need a very patient and loveable photographer, please check out this site:

Sharing Dieting Success

I have now lost 50 pds on the First Place for Health program thru my Church!
I know I still have a lot to go, but wanted to share what I have accomplished so far.
This is the Bible verse that is taped to my desk where I can see it constantly and it has helped me many many times when I wanted to just say heck with it and eat.
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
This is all the proof I need that I WILL be able to lose the rest of this weight.
Have a great night!

DONE!

After a LONG week of sorting thru receipts, punching numbers in the calculator, and lots of aggravation, I am happy to report that all the prep work for our taxes is complete! I thought I would be done by 1:00 at the latest yesterday, and ended up not being done until more like 7:45 after our internet went in and out and I could not get online reports that I needed.
Anyway! Today we are shopping for Megan's Easter outfit and for Richard a new tie.
This evening, Brittany and Kadence are coming over to dye eggs and prepare for the arrival of the always loveable Easter Bunny!
Tomorrow at 7:00 we are all going to Sunrise Service, followed by breakfast at Church. Then, in the afternoon, my brother and his family will be here.
It will be a busy, but fun weekend and I will take lots of pics!
Happy Easter to all of you and Thank You Heavenly Father for giving me eternal life!

Petal Card & Tax News

I did not even know what a petal card was until I visited one of the LSS here. They had packages of these cards for sale and when you buy them they are just white card stock. All of the decorating is up to you. Here is my first attempt.

I have to admit, this card took FOREVER to finish. I used Cranberry ink and a round sponge from CTMH to sponge on all of the red. Here is the inside.

Not sure when I will do another one!
On a side note: Today should be my last day of working on getting our taxes prepared to get done on Monday. Then I can get back to creating some artwork!
Have a blessed Good Friday and don't forget the reason for the day.

Nothing New

Hey There!
Sorry that once again I have NO new layouts or cards to share. It has just been to busy and other things had to come first. This week I will be working on our taxes so I am afraid there won't be any new artwork to share until after that. I am feeling motivated to just get them done, so I am hoping for just a few days of work.
In the meantime, here is a really cute 3 X 3 cards that I made awhile back.
They are made with the booking stamp from CTMH and were super fast and easy. I got the design from the sample that comes with the set, just changed the paper to pink (of course)

Have a great Tuesday!

Easter in Cricket County

It's Easter in Cricket County, and the Taylor clan has taken it upon themselves to host this year's Easter sunrise service in their own front yard. The action begins half an hour before sunrise as Grandma Taylor sweeps the front porch of her cabin and sets out the lawn chairs as she prepares for the parishioners to arrive.

Glenda Mae and Brenda Mae, the identical twins.

Elkin and Fester

She isn’t very happy, however, that her highbrow family members
from the city are showing up this year. These city dwellers have
always been after the coal mines and oil fields the Taylors
inherited from their late Uncle Zeke, and Grandma knows this
year will be no exception for these money-grubbing kinfolk. Sure
enough, the city bunch shows up, keeping their eyes open for a
new “treasure” they heard Grandma found recently.
Cousin Oswald and Cousin Mimi arrive from the city

Cousin Pete and Cousin Petunia soak it all in and try their best to keep the peace.

The twins present their city cousins with these beautiful, handmade by Grandma Taylor Easter Bonnets to wear to the sunrise service. As you can see by their faces, the city cousins are thrilled with the gift!

Fresh from slopping (or, ahh slapping) the hogs, Preacher Hobbs arrives to conduct the sunrise service.

Once the sunrise service begins, however, thoughts quickly turn to
the true meaning of Easter as everyone, including the city bunch,
begins sharing what the Resurrection means to them. The twins sing a lovely easter hymn for the service.

When Grandma's treasure is revealed and the sun starts to rise above the ridge, greedy hearts are softened

and the things that are truly important are put in their proper perspective.

Hope you enjoy your upcoming sunrise service, just like the cousins.
