Valentine's Day Layout

Here is the layout I did for Valentine's day. I found this awesome vintage looking paper while we were away for our Anniversary trip and fell in love with it. The base pages are Kraft cardstock and went so well with the paper.
I am off to church today and the "secret sister" luncheon, after that just waiting on Richard to get home and being lazy.
Have a blessed Sunday!

Megan's 17th Birthday

Yesterday Megan turned 17, and here is the card I made for her.

The front is just an envelope with the end cut off, and I used a scallop punch to make it pretty. I got the idea from an old stamping up mini book.

Here is the inside that you pull out of the envelope. I used some old CTMH sets and also embossed the butterfly with silver powder.
Here is a pic of the birthday girl

Enjoy the day!

Winter Layout

I have this page all ready for my snow photos from the last couple weeks and just wanted to share it. I actually purchased this layout in a kit, and all I had to do what adhere it down. I did add a couple of sparkly snowflakes to mine.
Enjoy what is left of this winter!

Thanksgiving Layout??

Yes, thats right.. lol Have to post as you get time to do them, right?
As you may know, one of my new loves is using paper-piecing on my layouts, I just love how it makes the pages look so special.
Here is one I just finished putting together, even though I have not gotten the pictures on it yet, it's just to cute!

Here is a close up of one of the turkeys. Aren't they just adorable? Kate, over at the "Paper Piecing Beehive" was so sweet about making me a set of turkeys, even though they were not for sale, after I saw them on her blog. (katiebeescrappin.blogspot.com) Thanks Kate! I cased the layout from her also.

Have a great weekend!

Professional Scrapbook Model

My sweet friend Tammy P. sent Kadence this adorable shirt as a Christmas gift. Was there ever a more appropriate time to have a "photo shoot?"
As you can see my little subject was very cooperative.

America's Next Top Model here she comes!
Have a good Friday!

Catching Up..

That is what I have been doing the last several days. We have been snowed in, and it has given me lots of time to scrap, so I should have new posts for the next several days!
Last October, my Sister in law, Cathy, and her hubby Brian drove up from Connecticut to spend some time with us. I enjoy a close relationship with Cathy, she is more like a sister to me and we had so much fun.
We spent the weekend at Shaker Village and I finished up this layout (Not sure if I am going to put a title on it or not) a couple days ago.
Hope you like it:

Enjoy your day,

March "Veranda" Workshop

My Workshop for March is a bit "springy" and I know most of you will appreciate that since as I am typing this, we have about 11 inches of snow on the ground!
I used some older pics of Kadence and Brittany because they just seemed to fit the paper. I love how it came out.
Close up of the lifelike "Just Blooms" paper flowers and the "Filigree Charms" that have been sponged with brown stayz on.

One last closeup showing the intricate details of the stamps.

Hope you can join us!

Anniversary Getaway

Richard had some work in Lexington so we decided to use the extra time to getaway for our Anniversary (which was in January) Here is a shot of our hotel.

Nothing better then room service!

Self pics are always a hoot!

Cute little pillow that I thought was so sweet! I am still convinced I need one for my bed here at home!

Happy Anniversary!

We might be corny, but we had a great time!!

We are off to our Church's annual "Valentine Banquet" tonight, and then watching the Olympics!
Enjoy your weekend!

My Last Valentine

This is the last of my handmade Valentines for this year. This one is for Richard and is probably my favorite because of the shades of pink. I love the silhouette images of the kids from CTMH.
Don't forget the opening ceremony tonight!
Thanks for stopping bye,

Another Valentine

We are back from our Anniversary getaway and I will share some pics of that later.
Here is another Valentine Card that I have ready. We got about 7 inches of snow on the ground so I am hoping for some scrapping time after I get the house cleaned today.
Enjoy,
