Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family. Here are a few of my favorite (and funniest) pics.
Here is the whole Hee-Haw gang! After the 4th try we just gave up on trying to get a perfect group shot!

My girls and me after dinner

Here is the cake that my sis-in-law Nicky made. It was the most unbelievable dessert I have had in a long while.

You must see the inside of it. It was devils food cake, in between layers of cheese cake, and topped off with cream cheese icing!

Of course, Richard and I have to have some clowning around photos!

Grandma Violet (my mom) was pretty impressed with the view master!

Here is Kadence getting ready to leave for her next Thanksgiving meal!

Hope you enjoyed your day!

International Food

Half the fun of traveling internationl is trying new food (well, sometimes lol)
Here are some of my fav's from the trip...
Here is a REAL french croissant that we had in Paris. These 2 cups of coffee and this 1 croissant cost us $24!!!

This is one of the desserts we had in Norway.. It was some kind of almond cake, topped with chocolate mousse. It was thin and delicious.

Here is the Danish version of a cheeseburger and fries! Pure Yum! It was impossible to pick it up and eat it with your hands, we had to cut it down into bites lol

Finally, a traditional Christmas drink in Scandinavia is Glug. It is a hot glass of wine that also has raisins and almonds in it. Richard enjoyed his, but I did not care for it, but it sure makes a pretty picture with the little gingerbread cookies!

Alright, last but not least.. For the non believers here is the proof. Smalahove is a traditional Norwegian delicacy usually eaten around and before Christmas time, made from a sheep's head. The skin and fleece of the head is torched, the brain removed, and the head is salted, sometimes smoked, and dried. The head is boiled for about 3 hours and served with mashed rutabaga and potatoes, and NO--Richard and I did NOT eat it! Here comes the picture... You have been warned! lol

Time to get the day started! Hope you enjoy yours.

Sharing Pictures Of Scandinavia

We had a great trip and lots of adventures! Here are some of my favorite photographs.
In the hotel lobby of the Thon Hotel Opera in Oslo, Norway

The Engebret Cafe-Oslo's oldest restaurant.. It was snowing and the restaurant was lit by candles. It was beautiful.

The palace of the Queen of Norway

Our dear friend Sven Rygh, who was so kind to us. Thank you for being our Norwegian tour guide.

Next stop was Sweden. Unfortunately, we did not have a lot of time to sight see but what we did see was so old fashioned and quaint. We loved it.

Out to dinner with our new Swedish friends

Richard and I waiting for our train from Sweden to Denmark

Central Train Station

Copenhagen, Denmark

Theater where Richard performed

Richard and I at the statue of The Little Mermaid, from the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale.

The palace of the Queen of Denmark

That is all for now.. I have over 200 photos, so it is hard to pick a few favorites.
I will post scrapbook pages when they are done.
Have a wonderful day!

Jingle Workshop For December

Since my trip to Norway, Denmark, and Sweden came out of the blue (only 2 1/2 weeks notice) I will not be holding a workshop in November. I am not one of the people who totally skip over Thanksgiving and go onto Christmas because Thanksgiving is so important to me, but I did have to get my sample done so that I could have it for people to sign up when they were at the October workshop. I am really happy with how it came out! The jingle paper is so whimsical and the twinkly brads are so eye catching.

I only have 2 spots left in this workshop, so please let me hear from you soon if you would like to join us.
Hugs,
