My First Christmas Card This Year

I had a chance this morning to pull out my new CTMH products from the Fall/Winter catalog and here is what I came up with.
I used the Petite Perks set, "Jingle" level 2 paper pack, and Twinkle Brads.
I got the sketch idea from the National Stamping Month card making kit, also from CTMH.
I am hoping for some more play time this afternoon.

Princess Party

We had a lovely time here at the Palace for Princess Kadence's birthday party.

The entertainment for the royal celebration was the great new ventriloquist team of Lisa and her little dummy Neecey! It was amazing and Neecey looked so real; she even had a tan!

It is apparent that everyone in the Royal Court is close to each other, one big happy family! We even like to set in the same seat together!

Happy Birthday Kadence!

On this day, 3 years ago, God once again blessed my life in such a way that I could never imagine. Today is Kadence's 3rd birthday.. No one can ever understand the way that I feel about this little girl. It is a love different that any other love I have experienced. It is a fiercely protective love, a love that wants the best for her in every situation in her life now and in the future. It is a love that makes me wish she were mine, and a love that makes my heart cry out of joy when she says her prayers and tells me she loves me. God is so good! The picture above is of myself and Kadence Raine on her "real" birthday, 8-7-06, three years ago today.. We were both a lot smaller than we are now! lol

Making Cards With Kadence

So...There I was in my scrap room, coloring some cards that I promised my best friend to give as a gift at a baby shower when along comes Kadence......
(Kadence) Na-Na what are you doing in here?
(Me) Just working on some cards for April.
(Kadence) Why?
(Me) Because she asked me to.
(Kadence) Can I work on cards ish (with) you?
(Me) Of course Sun, let me get your markers.
(Kadence) Put my cards here Nana (pointing to my scrap cabinet fold out table)


So, there we are.. Enjoying quiet moments together, coloring our artwork.. All is well.. Life is good.... A quiet afternoon.... then I look up......

(Me) Oh Kadence, why did you color on NaNa's table?
(Kadence) I make it for you Nana
(Me) But remember how NaNa told you only color on paper?
(Kadence) Sorry NaNa---suddenly she turns to look at me

(Me) Oh Kadence, you colored on your face!
(Kadence) No I didn't, I just put my makeup on.
